Honda Launches Natural Gas Powered Civic

The latest environmentally friendly fuel source is not electricity, but Natural Gas. We're familiar with natural gas powering certain types of machinery, but wide spread use in cars has evaded most car manufacturers. All that is about to change with the all-new Honda Civic CNG (Compressed Natural Gas).

Honda has even announced official pricing. Surprisingly the 2012 Civic Natural Gas car, for as new as the technology is, comes in at a reasonable MSRP of $26,155.

Purchasing one of the new CNG cars comes with several benefits:

-      Natural Gas costs 30% less than gasoline
-      Natural Gas produced barely any emissions
-      Combined natural gas mileage is a combined 31 mpg
-      Some states allow CNG vehicles to travel in the carpool lanes regardless of the number of passengers

According to the Japanese business magazine Nikkei, "the decision to sell the natural gas Civic throughout the United States is in response to increased interest in green cars and fuel efficient cars."1

To learn more about the Civic Natural Gas variant, come into Mistlin Honda on 4754 McHenry Ave in Modesto, CA today.
