Honda 'Most Improved' in IIHS Top Safety Pick Awards

Great news, Honda drivers! The brand is now better than ever! A record number of new vehicles have received top ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety this year, and Honda vehicles have made the biggest strides in becoming safer than ever.  Since 2006, the IIHS (a non-profit organization) has compiled an annual list of automobiles that meet its standards for "Top Safety Pick" awards. This year, the organization awarded the most safety awards ever; 115 vehicles received the designation, topping the previous record of 66 in last year's evaluations. Automakers are certainly stepping it up. It's difficult to win the awards, and all auto companies seek to achieve greatness. 69 cars, 38 SUVs, 5 minivans, and 3 pickup trucks earned the award this year.

Honda certainly has been eyeing the awards it seems. As IIHS spokesman Russ Rader comments, "Honda is really the most improved. Ten of the 18 new vehicles on the list are Honda or Acura models and their engineers went to the drawing board and improved the roofs to do better in rollover crashes."1 Wow! What a great accomplishment for the Japanese automaker.

Right now is a great time to buy or lease a new 2012 Honda vehicle. With our best safety ratings ever, why wouldn't you consider a Honda? Visit Mistlin Honda today at 4754 McHenry Ave Modesto, CA 95356 for friendly Honda service and great deals. Happy Holidays from all of us here at Mistlin!
